The cold asphalt mixture is a high tech road repair material which can be used all day long. Cold mix precoat is a mixture of mineral aggregate and modified liquid asphalt binder mixed together in specific proportions placed and compacted at ambient temperatures. Cold mix asphalt is not nearly as strong as hot mix asphalt and should only be used for small scale fixes or temporary patches until a more permanent repair with hot asphalt mix can be made.
